Tomorrow is the last day of the writing challenge, I thought it would never come! After baring my soul over the last month, I’m tying things together with what I will do over the next 30 days. You’ll be relieved to hear that it isn’t sharing my every thought and movement again!
What are your goals for the next 30 days?
1. Try out the Pilates class that I’ve been ‘subconsciously’ avoiding.
Just once! I’ve been putting it off for far too long now. I even went out of my way to buy gym clothes, book the class online and invite a friend. All attempts were thwarted though. But this month I’m going to make it happen!
2. Save some moolah.
This is pretty much an on-going goal. No more buying useless stuff and unusual snacks (much).
3. Blog less.
Apologies readers! Blogging is becoming an obsession and eating into my fiction writing time. This is probably due to the fact that I blog once or twice per day. So, I’ve decided I’m going to limit myself to four blogs a week. (It was really hard to haggle myself down to that number.)
4. Finish the first draft of my children’s book.
When I say first draft, I actually mean 11th draft (literally). However, I’ve always freaked out and started again before I got to the end. (“This is rubbish, I’m starting again”, etc.) This time I refuse to stop! If I can write every day for this challenge, then I can do the same with my book.
5. Go for a couple of drinks.
I have always enjoyed my own company. I like going for lonely walks, independent days out, trips to cafes alone, etc. However, I’m surrounded by lovely people and I need to take a couple of nights off to socialise. (Not a bad goal to aim for.)
6. Read more.
I have had the third Harry Potter book open on the same page for about a month now. It’s time to get on with it and get inspired!
7. Cut down my meat intake.
In an ideal world, I would be vegetarian, but after many failed attempts I’m going to start the process slowly. Having meat three times a week, or less, would be good. That way, I don’t feel like I’m killing a whole family of animals every week.
8. Watch ‘Minions’!
Cos you’ve gotta treat yourself sometimes…
